Once Upon A Flower Farm
At The Minories Art Gallery

On the second of February, Rebecca, Emily, Rachel and I enjoyed a ‘day out’ at the Minories Art Gallery in Colchester. We were actually working at their wedding fair, showing off our eco-friendly and winter inspired foliage and flower arrangements and of course our flower crowns.
This was also the soft launch of ‘Once Upon A flower Field’. The four of us working together to bring you the best of our flower fields and creative know how to flower your event or venue with locally and sustainably grown flowers.
We were therefore delighted to be invited to participate at the Minories inaugural wedding fair. Yes, coming up with ideas that involve no imported flowers is tricky but we managed it. Instead, we use evergreens, beautiful branches, the first Snowdrops and Cyclamen and potted ferns which can be reused. The result was fresh and dynamic. I just love the urn of Hazel Catkins and the Teasles which elevate the mantel piece arrangement.
We have some joint weddings booked in, a Church talk and will be running floral workshops this year.
Each of us brings a different skillset to the group and the growers, Rachel, Emily and I have our own growing preferences too. Working together just made sense. If you want to learn more then please head over to our new website:
